HAINT's paranormal team is operated by experienced & trained paranormal investigators as well as having trainees in our group. We are professionally minded & will act accordingly at all times.
We do NOT charge for our services, we do accept donations to fund expenses & equipment, but never feel you have to pay us. We do this as a service to the community & are not seeking monetary compensation. We are willing to travel when we are able. Primarily we cover the North West Tennessee area including the following counties:
Gibson, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Weakley, Obion, Lake, Henry, Madison, Henderson, Haywood & Lauderdale. We will investigate out of the previous counties when able.
If we are unable to investigate your location, we will make every attempt to locate a reputable investigation team through our network system to assist you.

Our Mission Statement: Investigations with Care

There are many types of investigators in the field of the paranormal. Just as with every professional pursuit, there are those who are concerned with gaining whatever reputation they desire, and there are those who are more concerned with every possible facet of their project.

We pride ourselves on caring for those who request our help. We consider all who trust us with their investigative needs to be our friends. We may or may not find evidence of the paranormal, but that is not the scope of our concern. If there are external or extenuating situations that may be causing the phenomena, we will provide the best answers we can.

We will not simply disappear after an investigation or consultation. We are always available here. We will also perform a follow-up on occasion with those who’ve had previous investigations.

We are not concerned with numbers or obtaining a “list,” of previous investigations to exploit. We are concerned with enlightening those who might benefit from experience and a solid interest in the field.

We fully understand the delicate position people face when anything abnormal occurs. We welcome all questions from potential investigation applicants, as well as those from friends whom we’ve previously visited.

Investigation Regulations: What You Can Expect

There is no charge for an investigation or consultation. We are not out to prove or disprove the possibility of the supernatural. All parties involved should understand that not even a 5 hour investigation may be an adequate amount of time to capture substantial proof of the paranormal.

Your application and all relevant information will only be viewed by members of HAINT. It will not be publicized in any way.

All initial correspondence with HAINT will be conducted via email. Please provide a valid email address and make sure to check your Junk/Bulk folder for the next few days just in case the reply is directed into that folder by mistake. Please update any spam filtering services you may have to allow email from haint-paranormal.org.

In the reply, you will be asked what day and time would be most convenient for a member of HAINT to contact you. We will call the phone number you provide.

During the preliminary phone conversation, if you are in need of a full investigation, a date and time will be arranged so that you may meet 2 members of the group. For the convenience of everyone, these meetings are always arranged in a public place that is well known. Any places chosen will offer a degree of privacy and will not draw attention to the details of your circumstances.

We will then ask you to verify information on your house and property from the answers you submit on the form. During the interview, we will ask what type of paranormal encounters you are experiencing. Please feel free to ask questions about the members or methods of the group, share your own opinions, etc.

After we meet you, our members will research the information you provided then call you. If you still wish to conduct an investigation, a date and time will be arranged to reasonably accommodate everyone’s schedule. Members of the group will come to your home or property. There will be a few papers you must authorize in order for us to conduct an investigation.

Please do not feel intimidated about “strangers” in your home. We respect you, your home, and your property.

There are several individuals required for every investigation. This is to assure the quality of our work. We utilize many devices and one person can only maintain one or two at the same time.

The persons living in the home will be asked to give a tour of as much as the house as they feel comfortable with, especially the areas where abnormal events have taken place.

This tour will most likely be both video taped and recorded onto audiotape. After the tour, we request that only 2 people who live at the house be present, if possible. Residents are always welcome to stay with investigators. During investigations, members usually stick close together in case any paranormal events occur so that there might be more than one witness.

If one room in particular has the most activity, you will be asked if several members may enter the room and close the door. They may keep the equipment running for 10 – 20 minutes. Video cameras may also be placed in these “hot spots” and left alone until the end of the investigation.

After the investigation, members will thoroughly review the tapes and information gathered. This can take up to a month, depending on the volume of information that has been collected.

After a unanimous conclusion has been made, we will call you. If there are any paranormal anomalies noted on video or audio, we will arrange a second interview. Two members will return to your home and share the results of the investigation in detail.

Tools of Our Trade: Some of the Equipment We Use

Camcorders
Sometimes ghosts appear on film during an investigation. HAINT may utilize a number of different types of camcorders, including infrared, or low-light camcorders.

Cameras
More often, ghosts appear on camera than to the naked eye. We use both film and digital cameras to capture anomalies that could be considered paranormal.

Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Detectors
Ghosts are believed to create a certain disturbance in the electromagnetic field. EMF devices, including a highly sensitive Gaussmeter, will be used.

Audio Recorders
At times ghostly voices appear on tape; these are called electronic voice phenomenon (EVP). We may use both analog and digital recording devices to ask the presence in your home questions.

Digital Thermometers
Many parapsychologists believe that ghosts take energy from their surroundings to become more influential, and as a consequence temperatures can drop.

We strive to maintain our professional standards. Due to the need for solid and irrefutable documentation we must inform those who seek our services of a few simple precedents. In order to conduct an efficient investigation, we must ask for as much peace and silence as possible when we work.

Haunted Awareness Investigators of Northwest Tennessee reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, even during an investigation. This is to save our members the time and effort involved, should questionable behaviors come into play on the property owner’s part.

If there are any perceived impediments, deliberately misleading activities, or similar fraudulent information used, HAINT reserves the right to abandon the investigation.

Further examples of these behaviors are:

* Purposefully falsifying or staging paranormal encounters. We do have skeptics in our membership who are thoroughly efficient when spotting human manipulation.

* Use of non-prescription, illegal or recreational substances (including alcohol). This is not only to protect our findings, but to protect our members.

* Having an excessive amount of persons attending the investigation. Only the homeowner(s) and immediate family should be present when we are working.

* Please do not schedule the investigation when you are expecting company. Do not schedule the investigation on the same day you will be hosting a get-together or event. This includes birthday parties and family reunions.

* A paranormal investigation is a serious, scientific venture and is not entertainment for friends or family. It is not a party or a social gathering.

* We will not return to a home once the situation has escalated to the point where the group is forced to abandon the project due to other people.

Any infringement upon these simple stipulations shows a blatant and juvenile disregard for our group and the ultimate purpose for conducting an investigation.
